Every listing is built from public data: OpenStreetMap, used under the Open Database License (ODbL) with attribution, and the California Contractors State License Board public rosters. We are not affiliated with the businesses we list, and a listing is not an endorsement, a referral, or a recommendation to hire.

Public records go out of date, and businesses move, close and change hands. We publish what the sources say at the time of the last rebuild and we correct what we are told about, but we cannot guarantee that any name, address, phone number, license detail or ranking is accurate or current. Check anything that matters before you hire, including a contractor's license at cslb.ca.gov. Any agreement you make with a business you found here is between you and that business.

No business pays to appear on MyLocalZip, and none can pay for a better position. Ranking position is never for sale. How the order is set is written out on our methodology page.

Business owners can ask us to correct a listing or remove it, at no cost. Email us and we will do it. Correcting a listing never changes where it ranks.

The listings are here for people looking to hire a local pro. Do not scrape the site in bulk, resell the pages, or use them to send unsolicited marketing to the businesses listed. The underlying OpenStreetMap data is available from its own source under the ODbL, which is the right way to get it.
